Dear NAGDCA Members,

Prior to opening registration for the 2020 Annual Conference tomorrow, I wanted to touch base with you again to provide a status update. As of now, we are proceeding with planning as scheduled as we continue to monitor guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and local health officials.

What exactly does “proceeding as planned” mean for you as a conference attendee? First, we encourage you to register for the conference as you normally would. If you need to cancel, you may do so before September 4, 2020 to receive a full refund. Second, we recommend that you make hotel reservations as you normally would. The Hyatt Regency Seattle allows for cancellations up to 48 hours out with no penalty. Third, we recommend that you wait to book flights until closer to the event to avoid potential cancellation charges.

We will proceed with planning as scheduled until the June/July time frame when we anticipate having better clarity around our ability to hold an in-person event. At that point, it may be necessary to pivot and adapt to a new type of event experience.

Please trust that NAGDCA’s top priority is the health, safety and well-being of our members and everyone involved with the conference. We will continue to monitor the situation, provide regular updates and post the most up to date information on NAGDCA’s website.

As I mentioned, registration opens tomorrow so be on the lookout for an email announcement with the link, and please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions or concerns (nagdca@amrms.com).

I look forward to seeing you in Seattle!
