One focus of NAGDCA is to educate members about public defined contribution/deferred compensation issues and laws, while enabling administrators to better perform in their positions. The association's educational focus' fall into three broad categories: educational publications, including the guidebook; certification program; and educational workshops and seminars. The certification program is coordinated and administered by the International Foundation for Retirement Education and Texas Tech University.
NAGDCA publishes a variety of resource materials each year. These materials range from a The Contributor, NAGDCA's quarterly newsletter, to a biannual survey of member 457 plans. Listed below are descriptions of each publication and their costs for members and nonmembers. Each member chair will receive one complimentary copy of every publication produced by the association.
