NAGDCA's retiree member category allows long-standing members to continue their relationship with NAGDCA after retirement. The retiree category is available to both government and industry members who are retired and of retirement age.
Benefits of Retiree Membership:
- Conference attendance at the guest rate
- Access to the Members Only section of the NAGDCA Web site
- Listing in the annual membership directory
- Retiree members may serve on committees or other NAGDCA assignments
- One year of retiree membership (membership is for a calendar year) for every five years as an active member at no charge. If work resumes, the retiree member must pay active membership dues.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Any government or industry member who is at or beyond retirement age (i.e., 55 years old) and has retired from all employment or contract services relating to the defined contribution plan industry.
- The individual must have at least five years as an active member of NAGDCA.
- Eligibility for this membership is immediately terminated if the individual returns to
work or is under contract for services with a government or corporation and has any
affiliation in an area that has any involvement in the DC arena, whether they are a current member of NAGDCA or not. If the individual enters into a contract or returns to employment during the year that a retiree membership is held, he/she will be billed for the difference between an active membership and a retiree membership for that year. * Note: Serving as the retired member representative on a plan's governing committee or board constitutes active involvement in the industry.
