NAGDCAST #3: "Special Circumstances" to take place on December 11th

The National Association of Government Defined Contribution Administrators, Inc. (NAGDCA) is pleased to announce the third NAGDCAST for 2006 entitled, Special Circumstances which will include information on 457 and military catch-up, as well as loans. The event will take place on December 11th at 1:00p.m. EST. Over 200 participants are expected to be in attendance.

Mindy Harris, Chief Financial Officer, Multnomah County, OR, will serve as the webcast moderator. Speakers include: June Metts Dennis, Defined Contribution Plans Administrator, Commonwealth of Virginia; Brian McCleave, Senior Vice President Tax Exempt Sales, Prudential Financial; and Iris Ward, National Director, ING Financial Advisers LLC. Plan administrators are often inundated with the day-to-day responsibility of ensuring that participants' retirement earnings are in compliance with rules set forth by pension legislation. In doing so, all circumstances surrounding one's retirement must be reviewed and taken into consideration. Many questions that are currently being asked in the defined contribution community surround the topic of "special circumstances", or more specifically, leave/absence, loans and military catch-up. The goal of this webcast is to offer insight and clarity into these special circumstances and provide a forum for questions that are posed by plan administrators nationwide. Much of the information will touch upon all defined contribution plans, including the link between 403(b)s and 457 catch-up rules.

Registration is free for government members but the event is open to non-members for $100.00. Advance registration is required prior to the start of the event at 1:00p.m. EST. The PowerPoint presentation for this program will be available at www.nagdca.org by 11:00 EST the morning of December 11th. For more information on the webcast please visit www.nagdca.org (Latest News section).
