The National Association of Government Defined Contribution Administrators, Inc. (NAGDCA) will hold a webcast, December 8th from 1pm – 2:30pm ET designed to provide insightful information to retirement plan administrators as they begin considering adding a Roth 457 option to their plan. Speakers will take a look back at the history and employee usage of Roth accounts and will also discuss how to communicate and educate participants about Roth contributions.
Anyone interested can register via the NAGDCA website at http://www.nagdca.org/content.cfm/id/nagdcasts. Over 100 participants are expected to participate.
The webcast speakers will be Pamela Hess, CFA, Director of Retirement Research, Hewitt Associates; Rick Rodgers, CRC, Principal, Insight Employee Benefit Communications; Dean Weltman, Plan Compliance Officer, New York City, NY.
“I am just thrilled that the Roth 457 option will soon be available for state and local government employees. NAGDCA has worked extremely hard to get a Roth for its members, and to see it come to fruition is very exciting. By providing another avenue to save for retirement, I believe it will be very appealing to our younger employees and will also increase enrollment in 457 plans,” says Gay Lynn Bath, NAGDCA President.
NAGDCA is the country's leading organization of defined contribution retirement plan administrators and financial service providers. It represents nearly every state deferred compensation plan, as well as numerous other governmental and public sector defined contribution plans, and over 150 companies in the financial services industry. Its mission is to focus on retirement planning for public sector employees participating in 457(b), 403(b), 401(a) and 401(k) retirement plans.
