(Lexington, KY) – The National Association of Government Defined Contribution Administrators, Inc. (NAGDCA) is honored today to have its Vice-President, Alex Turner, speak at the Republican National Convention in Minneapolis, MN. Turner will be a panelist on the Adult/Workplace Financial Literacy Panel which will focus on cross generations (baby boomers, seniors, etc.) and retirement savings.

Turner will speak to a crowd of approximately 300 attendees comprised of delegates, legislative staff, and policy makers. Turner will discuss National Save for Retirement Week, a congressional endorsed initiative to promote saving for retirement, and NAGDCA's partnership with the Financial Education Literacy Network to develop a database for financial literacy materials. In addition, Turner will describe specific efforts employers can initiate to promote retirement savings and financial literacy to their employees.

“We are honored to serve on this a panel at the Republican National Convention and were pleased to be on a similar panel at the Democratic National Convention on August 25th. NAGDCA is committed to our goal of educating and urging employees-both public and private-to increase their savings for retirement,” stated Mindy Harris, NAGDCA President.
